RCAC delivers resources. RCAC’s loan fund provides small communities and nonprofit organizations with suitable and innovative solutions to their financing needs. RCAC is certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the United States Treasury. Among other projects, RCAC provides short-term and interim financing for:
- Single Family housing
- Multifamily housing
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Community facilities such as:
- Community health care
- Cultural and educational centers
- Energy transmission and distribution
- Fire, rescue and public safety
- Public buildings and improvements including:
- Senior assisted living facilities
- Child care centers
- City halls
- Community centers
- Nonprofit owned/occupied office buildings
- Transportation facilities
- Utility facilities

Juneau Family Health and Birth Center, always a labor of love
Recently, the Juneau Family Health and Birth Center (JFHBC) opened the doors of its newly expanded center. “Kaye Kanne, and the center’s board and staff are all very committed to providing quality birthing and healthcare for families, especially those who would normally have to go without,” said John Weidemaier, RCAC loan officer.
