Creating sustainable infrastructure

Environmental

RCAC works with rural water, wastewater and solid waste systems to make them sustainable. Our services are directed to small, low-income rural and Indigenous communities to ensure that they comply with state and federal regulations. The five core service areas are capacity building, technical assistance, advocacy, training and access to resources.

Our innovative Agua4All program increases access to safe drinking water in schools and communities throughout California.

Our environmental staff work in 11 Western states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii and other Pacific Islands, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington. RCAC is an active member of the national network, Rural Community Assistance Partnership, Inc. (RCAP). RCAC is the Western RCAP.

Services for Indigenous communities

We also serve Indigenous communities, primarily through our Tribal circuit rider program in California and Arizona, and also through programs in New Mexico and Utah.
