Quincy Community Services board of directors praised citizens at a recent meeting for their quick response to a recent income survey conducted by Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC). The information collected from the survey will help the board to apply for grant money to fund a new wastewater treatment plant.

According to the Feather River Bulletin, the survey was a success in part due to 18 percent of customers returning the survey on the first request. The response rate reduces the need for surveyors to go door-to-door to collect the information.

Median Household Income (MHI) surveys are conducted when there is reason to believe that the available household income data is not an accurate representation of the MHI within the permitted service area. Survey results can help a community qualify for federal or state funding for infrastructure improvements.
