Colorado residents will benefit from new laws allowing the collection of rainwater. Rainwater collection, also known as harvesting; captures, stores and uses collected rainwater. According to The Gazette, rainwater has great potential for home gardens and lawns. However, there are some restrictions with the new Colorado laws. Rainwater that is collected can only to be used for outdoor purposes and not for human or animal consumption. Two barrels may be used per home to store up to 110 gallons of collected rainwater.
