Rivers throughout Colorado, Utah and Wyoming are receiving abundant water from strong winter snowpack, easing drought fears but also pushing water over river banks.
West Sacramento, Calif. — Utah resident Claudia O’Grady was elected to Rural Community Assistance Corporation’s (RCAC) Board of Directors in early November.
The Utah Capacity Building Collaborative (UCBC), a Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) initiative kicked off its first Network Training in Salt Lake City March 14 – 15. Through the initiative, RCAC staff provide technical support to four rural agencies to build organizational capacity and provide affordable housing development training coupled with direct operating support.
RCAC received a $25,000 grant this week from Ally Bank. The funds will be used to support capacity building development for low-income rural Utah residents and Tribal members.
West Sacramento, Calif. — In the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2015, Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) closed 29 loans totaling more than $8.3 million to assist rural communities in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington and Utah with housing, water infrastructure and community development projects.
