RCAC celebrates safe drinking water program accomplishments

Rural Community Assistance Corporation’s (RCAC) Agua4All program staff recently celebrated a major milestone: the first school project under the California State Water Resource Control Board’s Drinking Water for Schools (DWFS) grant. RCAC provided technical assistance to the Round Valley Unified School District in Covelo, California. The DWFS grant is itself a product of RCAC and partners’ advocacy work. U.S. Department of the Treasury awards $3.75 million to support RCAC’s affordable housing efforts

West Sacramento, Calif. —The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) awarded Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) $3.75 million through its Capital Magnet Fund (CMF). RCAC’s Loan Fund lends more than $21 million to rural communities

West Sacramento, Calif. — In the quarter ending Dec 30, 2019, Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) closed 16 loans totaling $21.4 million to support rural communities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Join us and learn about the California Technical Assistance Providers (CalTAP) programs, funded by the California State Water Resources Control Board. These programs provide onsite technical assistance, free workshops, and many other resources for water professionals throughout California. Tribal Housing Excellence Development Essentials

THE Development Essentials course is for Tribes and Native communities that are NAHASDA recipients. The course will provide participants with the housing development process essentials. In an interactive classroom setting, participants will learn: the various partners involved in the development process, how to determine a project’s financial feasibility, considerations in housing project underwriting, benefits of leveraging IHBG with a range of available resources from Title VI to Low Income Housing Tax Credits and how to apply these development principles to a case study and their own housing projects.
