Cedar City, Utah – The drive along Interstate 15, which meanders from the Mexican border in California to the Canadian border in Montana, can get plenty lonely. Families break ground on Guam’s first self-help housing project

After several years of planning and hope, the first group ever of self-help housing families on the island of Guam have begun construction on 13 homes. The families are participating in the U. S. Department of Agriculture’s Mutual Self-Help Housing Program. Read more

It was a day of firsts in Williams, California

On June 26, the first group of 10 homeowners participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Mutual Self-Help Housing Program helped raise the first wall of the first self-help home in Williams, California. Read more

RCAC became a national HUD-approved housing counseling intermediary in 2005. Our housing counseling training staff has trained thousands of housing counselors and/or program managers since 2006. In 2016, RCAC became a HUD training partner.
