West Sacramento, Calif. (October 8, 2018) — The Rural Community Assistance Partnership, Inc. (RCAP), its western regional partner, Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), and the California U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will join federal, state, nonprofit and philanthropic organizations in Sacramento on Tuesday, Oct. 16, for a roundtable discussion on improving access to safe drinking water and sanitary wastewater disposal for California’s rural communities.
California’s housing crisis should have, by this time, eased some after Gov. Jerry Brown last year signed more than a dozen bills that would encourage more building. But some analysts now say that the laws have yet to have a measurable impact on the state’s progress.
