USDA Financial Reporting (Washington)

Are you wondering how to fulfill the financial reporting requirements for your USDA Rural Utilities Service (RUS) funding? This training is for board members, clerks, utility staff and managers. Much of this training is dedicated to the administration tasks that your utility as a borrower must carry out in submitting the required regular management reports to RUS, your lender. We will walk through the process of how to prepare the financial statements that will be needed, as well as how to transfer that information to complete the necessary forms to be submitted to the USDA.

Get the Lead Out: Lead & Copper Rule Revisions (California)

After 30 years, the EPA has officially passed new regulations for the Lead and Copper Rule.  This training will guide drinking water operators through the new Lead and Copper site selection process, criteria and sampling plans so that water supplies maintain compliance for lead and copper under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Accurate, meaningful and comprehensible financial information is critical to the decision making and continuity of every utility. Many small utilities use QuickBooks to track and report their financial activity. In this class you will learn how to maximize the use of this software, from setting up your chart of accounts to entering your budget and transactions and producing your financial statements.
