  • Community Development Financial Institution

    In 1996, the U.S. Treasury certified RCAC as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). RCAC holds an AERIS rating of 4 Stars AA Policy Plus. The rating is based on a comprehensive review of the RCAC Loan Fund and the entire RCAC organization. RCAC’s rating indicates that Aeris found RCAC has clear mission alignment with strategies, activities and data that guide its programs and planning; and that RCAC uses its resources effectively to benefit its target populations or communities in line with its mission. RCAC also is recognized for its many advocacy and public policy activities.

  • Environmental Finance Center Network

    RCAC is a member of the Environmental Finance Center Network (EFCN). In a competitive application process RCAC was selected as the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) for EPA Region 10. RCAC is the only non-university to be selected as an EFC. The EFCN is a university-based organization with 10 EFCs around the country, creating innovative solutions to the difficult how-to-pay issues of environmental protection and improvement. EFCN works with the public and private sectors to promote sustainable environmental solutions while bolstering efforts to manage costs.

    RCAC is a GSA environmental consulting and training services contract holder (Contract #GS-10F-0255X). The GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) were created to provide a fast, cost-effective way for federal agencies to hire contractors. Agencies compare and select from the GSA list of pre-qualified contractors, whose pricing has already been found to be fair and reasonable.

  • Rural Community Assistance Partnership, Inc.

    RCAC is one of six regional agencies that together, serve the entire country. These six organizations make up the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, Inc. (RCAP) network. All six organizations are “on the ground” working directly with rural communities so we have a common experience and knowledge base (primarily with environmental infrastructure). RCAP maintains an office in Washington, D.C. so we have direct access to policymakers on the national level. RCAC is the Western RCAP operating in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
