Are your SHARES reports not adding up correctly? Does it show twice as many units than you actually have? Or does it show fewer units that you actually have? If so, you may need to make some changes in the way that you are entering your data into SHARES.

If you have SHARES reports that are not adding up correctly, please try the following:

  • Ensure that your Grant Name is unique an contains both numbers and names. If the grant name is not unique (Grant 1, Grant 2), change the grant name in the Grant Module (File). Sample: Test Entity 12/2021-12/2023
  • Ensure that your Group Name is unique and contains both numbers and names. If the group name is not unique (Group 1, Group 2), change the group name in all the Borrower Files in that group. Sample: Space Station 1
  • Run a Grant Construction Report to review and ensure that your dates have all been entered correctly in the Construction Tabs of each Borrower.

We also recommend that when you enter dates in the Construction Tab you enter both the Start and End dates of each task.

If you continue to have issues with your SHARES or have any other SHARES related questions or concerns, please contact Nancy Jacobsen and Anne Baker at shares@rcac.org.
