RCAC’s Loan Fund is a financial resource for rural communities. The Loan Fund fills financing gaps and serves in unconventional markets. We offer loans for affordable housing development, environmental infrastructure, community facilities and small businesses in rural locations.

Decent housing, safe drinking water, education, financing, jobs, community facilities, leadership, families are the many facets to RCAC's work.

RCAC expands the knowledge base of the rural public through education and training. Our training expertise is in technical, financial, and administrative issues that affect rural communities. We take great pride in our professional trainer team's capacity and effectiveness. Our trainers maximize audience participation to keep trainings relevant and memorable.

Sub-standard housing and poverty are commonplace in low-income rural communities. Many of these communities also face daunting challenges to access safe, clean drinking water and to develop other vital infrastructure. These issues are often overlooked in policy because rural communities lack the resources, training or social networks that are found in urban areas. Affordable housing solutions

Housing

RCAC assists nonprofit housing organizations to develop, finance and operate affordable housing programs and projects. We provide both single- and multi-family housing solutions for diverse populations. Our services include project feasibility, funding applications, site selection and purchase, project design, and construction and housing management. We tailor our services to the specific needs of each client.

Under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Section 523 Mutual Self-Help Housing contract, RCAC’s Homeownership Solutions program assists grantees in the western United States to successfully complete the production of single-family financed housing under the Mutual Self-Help Housing program.

RCAC is an intermediary and quality assurance reviewer of packaged loan applications for USDA RD’s Section 502 Single Family Housing Direct Loan Program, and we provide training to qualified employers and certified packagers to ensure they are qualified to process 502 loan applications. The Development Solutions program works with organizations that develop and manage multifamily rental housing.

We also provide technical assistance, training and financial support to housing counseling agencies that serve rural communities.
