I just have a quick question about the Unnumbered Letter from April 15 regarding self-help grantees and certified loan application packagers/intermediaries ordering appraisals. Does the appraiser have to be on the Rural Development approved list of appraisers?
I am packaging a 502 loan for our next self-help group and I am having trouble with the 4-A Calculator. The applicant receives social security income and when I enter it in the calculator it only allows me to count it as repayment income but I need to use it for annual income too, where am I going wrong?
Dear Sher, My organization wants to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect rate in our next 523 TA grant proposal. Can we do that?
Is there a limit on the cash assets a nonelderly applicant can have and still get a 502 Direct loan? I am working with an applicant who is very low-income but they also have $42,000 in non-retirement cash assets.
I know the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Rural Development office I work with has a long processing waitlist for 502 Direct applications and I’m concerned my packaged loans will stale before loan officers can even get to them. How do I turn in a packaged loan and ensure the documents are still good?
